From the outside, Holly, 11, is your average pre-teen. She loves Selena Gomez, make-up, cheerleading and doing her nails. However; unlike most, she has Neurofibromatosis, a condition in which the nerve tissue grows tumors that can damage to her body if they get too big.
Holly's one true wish was for a room makeover! She had long ago decided she needed her own special space where she could "hide out" and do her own thing. For her new room, Holly requested purple walls, a desk with a vanity mirror, a rack for her nail polish, a poster of her idol Taylor Swift and a zebra print comforter for her bed. Once complete, the space was exactly what a girl Holly's age deserved. When Holly finally saw her new room, she loved it – she finally had a space of her very own. She couldn't wait to sleep in her new bed and set up her new vanity.
Make-A-Wish provided Holly with a place where she could be anything she wanted, away from the routine hospital visits that had begun to take over her family's life.Wishes like Holly's couldn't be granted without the support of organizations like the National Association of The Remodeling Industry (NARI), who graciously provided the funds to make Holly's one true wish come true.
