Women For Wishes
Our Women for Wishes Network empowers women to make a difference in the lives of
hundreds of brave children diagnosed each year with life-threatening illnesses in Central &
Western North Carolina. Carefree days spent laughing with friends and family are put on
hold as boys and girls are catapulted into a strange and unfamiliar world filled with great
uncertainty.
Over our 25-year history, we have found that granting a wish is often the best medicine
possible. It is a prescription that changes a child's outlook on life and generates a smile for
the first time in a long time.
We invite you to open your heart, learn more about our new exciting women's initiative,
and collectively create magic with other dedicated inspirational women to strongly impact
the lives of the children we serve.

WHO:
Women in the community who are established or emerging leaders
and/or Connectors who:
• are looking for meaningful ways to get engaged in the Community
• have an enthusiastic interest in helping to find creative was to make more wishes come true
WHAT:
A women's giving circle / network of women in the community working
together to offer volunteer and giving opportunities to provide hope,
strength and joy to local children who are facing the challenges and struggles
of life-threatening medical conditions.
WHEN:
The timing of meetings and events will be determined by the local
core team of women leading the group.
WHERE:
The location of meetings and events will be determined by the local
core team of women leading the group.

GOAL:
To increase awareness of the Make-A-Wish mission, needs and
opportunities and to work together to make wishes come true.
